A frail, Filipino man was rudely awakened by the nauseating rolls that had taken hold of the boat in the storm. Feeling seasick, he got up from laying on the wooden floor that creaked in pain with every step he took. He stumbled about a meter before his lack of energy overcame him and his vision blacked out. As the man hopelessly crumpled to the ground, he felt strong arms catch him and sit him down very slowly. He was able to discern from his slowly returning vision that it was a young, wealthy woman who was a fellow Filipino that had saved him.

“Sigurado ka okay?” (Are you okay?) she asked the man.

“Oo, salamat sa iyo binibini,” (Yes, thank you young lady) he replied. She cried yet again at seeing how frail and poverty stricken the man was. She propped him up under her shoulder, and stepped with him slowly on the creaky floor until they got outside with the man feeling less lightheaded now. Conditions on the deck were not any better, people were stepping over eachother, and people were fainting left and right from heat, a lack of oxygen and lack of energy to even stand. People were dressed in dirty rags infested with insects and excretion. Feeling discouraged that everyone on board would die escaping Japanese oppression, she stood up ready to apologize for her idea, she heard excited shouts and screams of “Australya! Australya!”from many people as they turned to look and saw the Statue of Liberty, standing tall and proud, echoing a fierce cry against the oppressive governments of the world. After being crowded on a 60 year old ship for weeks, the survivors embraced their coming life as free Australians.

A nearly victorious Axis Germany was on a march to America. Their first act was to take down the statue to signify the end of American liberty before they proceeded in nuking key cities in America and bringing the country's government to nothing. The boat that was carrying the statue to Germany for a horrific ceremony was ambushed by American military remnants, and after a fierce battle, the Americans managed to hijack the boat. They decided to place her in Australia, the last place the Axis Powers had not made a stand for. They went to Australia and built a new life, trying desperately to preserve what they had fought for.

Nice! I like this, interestingly enough, there is an 18' tall replica of the Statue of Liberty at the Dauphin Narrows of the Susquehanna River, just above Harrisburg... It's built on the remains of an old Railroad Bridge piling, and I see it everytime I go up to visit my girlfriend.
