Some of the older members might recall MCN where I made available for download several of my minifig templates. Back in 1998 using a pair of scissors and a leather punch I cut a few tunics out of LEGO capes which eventually turned into other various clothing templates, bardings and full-body minifig wraps. Since MCN isn't around anymore my goal is to begin to post those templates here in the Armory.
For Cad Bane I used a Duster jacket - made up of two separate pieces. You can use this template in two possible ways:
1) Download the template file and print it out on regular paper. Cut the template out using scissors and a leather punch. Place the template over top over the fabric of choice then trace using a sharp pencil (chalk pencil if using
darker fabric). When the tracing is complete cut the fabric out using your traced pencil lines.
2) Download the template file and remove the BF logo. Print out on regular paper. Using clear packing tape (or Scotch tape) affix the fabric to the paper, over the area where the template printed out. Be sure to secure all outer edges of the fabric. Refeed the paper through your printer and print the template again. The template should imprint directly onto the fabric. Advanced users might add various details (stitching, pockets, etc) to the template prior to printing onto the fabric.
Note: You may need to darken the template lines so they show up on the fabric
Note: Thicker fabric may not feed properly and cause your printer to jam
Disclaimer: I'm not responsible if you bust your printer!
